THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING THE CORRECT PALLETS

Pallets are used primarily for transporting heavy items, but over the past few years if given a bit of love and creativity you can turn a wooden pallet into something distinctive, unique and desirable, from wooden planters to outdoor furniture.
If you are looking to transport heavy goods, you must purchase pallets that will bear the weight you require, otherwise unnecessary costs and damage may arise during the transportation of your load. This is the main factor that will ultimately help you determine which pallet suits your business requirements.

PALLET GRADING

The difference between the 3 pallet gradings we supply. Get an idea of what pallets you will need for your project.

GRADE A

Grade A pallets are the most common pallets that are used for a wide range of purposes. Grade A pallets typically have specifics that are more consistent than any Grade B pallets. They have an overall better appearance than any other grade. This is the highest quality graded pallet with a minimum of aesthetic and lumber damage and would typically be used with the purpose of displaying products and goods.

GRADE B

Grade B pallets which are also known as grade 2 pallets are platforms that have had repairs completed such as replacing the deck boards, plates or plugs. They are substantially solid and are still suitable to use in the supply chain, although may not be suitable for display like grade A pallets are.

GRADE C

Grade C or Grade 3 pallets are typically pallets with the poorest appearance and may not have a solid structure, these pallets are an idea if you are wishing to use them for creative purposes. Typically, they have been repaired multiple times and the deck boards may not be fully intact.

HARDWOOD & SOFTWOOD PALLETS AT H&J PALLET SERVICES

It is sometimes incredibly difficult to decide which pallet is perfect to order for you, your business and your requirements. The most important factor when considering the best pallets for you is to determine the different wood types and construction methods. Typically pallets are built using either hardwood or softwood. They both have their leading benefits. Hardwood is typically mahogany, oak, maple or walnut, although most commonly pallets, these days, are made using softwood such as pine, spruce, or Douglas fir, pine is the most common material as it is widely grown.
